Door County Bluegrass Camp 2010

Door County Bluegrass campers will focus on building instrumental skills, learning new tunes, and playing with a band. For the experienced beginner through the advanced player, private and group instruction will include guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, bass, dobro, slide, and vocals. Small group playing, jamming, and private lessons. Group classes will be limited to 10 or fewer students.

Each day will include morning and afternoon classes on your instrument, plus a variety of workshops including songwriting, music theory, harmony singing, chart reading and writing, tab, instrument repair and maintenance, yodeling, story telling with music and of course late night jam sessions.

After supper activities will include student group performances, a dance, a film, instructor performance and of course some late night picking in the Stuga cabin. A concert/dance for the public at the end of camp will be a treat for all.

Additionally, students and their families may want to take advantage of the outdoor activities at the resort including hiking, swimming, biking, tennis, volleyball, charter fishing, boating, fitness room, indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna, wireless internet and much more. If you choose to bring your family along, they will never get bored!

Songwriting, Small Instrument Repair, Mandolin Building and Clogging will be given from 11:30 - 12:30 & 1:30 - 2:30.
Cost will be $ 35.00 for the day.

Vocal Training and Beginning Guitar
will be from 9:00 -11:00am M - Th
Cost will be $35.00 per day or $100 for the 4 sessions if you do all four.
